Timlul turns Hebrew voice messages into text, right on your iPhone. No internet, and the audio never leaves your phone.

How to transcribe a voice message

1. Long-press the voice message, tap Forward, then Share (or use the Share button in any other app).
2. In the action list at the bottom of the share sheet, tap Transcribe with Timlul.
3. The transcript appears within seconds, without leaving the chat. You can copy it, and it's also saved in the app's history.

Another way: in the share sheet's row of apps, tap the Timlul icon. The app opens and transcribes the message. You can also open Timlul, tap +, and pick an audio file.

FAQ

"Transcribe with Timlul" isn't in the list. Scroll to the bottom of the share sheet's action list, tap Edit Actions…, and turn on "Transcribe with Timlul". You can also add it to Favorites so it shows up first.

I got a message asking me to open the app. Some devices don't have enough free memory to transcribe inside the share sheet. Share again and tap the Timlul icon in the row of apps instead; the app itself will transcribe the message.

Which files are supported? Voice messages, recordings and voice memos in m4a, mp3, wav, opus and ogg.

Do I need an internet connection? No. Everything runs on your device, even in Airplane Mode.

How long does it take? A minute of audio usually takes a few seconds.

The transcript isn't accurate. Accuracy depends on the recording: background noise, several people talking at once, or speaking far from the mic all make it harder. Let us know about recurring problems (no need to send the recording itself unless you choose to).

How do I delete a transcript? In the history list, swipe left on the transcript and delete it. Deleting the app deletes all transcripts.

Who can see my messages? No one. Audio and transcripts never leave your device. Details: Privacy Policy.

איך מתמללים הודעה קולית

1. לוחצים לחיצה ארוכה על ההודעה הקולית ובוחרים העבר, ואז שיתוף (או כפתור השיתוף בכל אפליקציה אחרת).
2. ברשימת הפעולות בתחתית גיליון השיתוף בוחרים ״תמלול עם Timlul״.
3. התמלול מופיע תוך שניות, בלי לצאת מהצ׳אט. אפשר להעתיק אותו, והוא נשמר גם בהיסטוריה של האפליקציה.

דרך נוספת: בשורת האפליקציות בגיליון השיתוף בוחרים באייקון של Timlul. האפליקציה תיפתח ותתמלל את ההודעה. אפשר גם לפתוח את Timlul, ללחוץ על + ולבחור קובץ שמע.

שאלות נפוצות

״תמלול עם Timlul״ לא מופיע ברשימה. גוללים לתחתית רשימת הפעולות בגיליון השיתוף, לוחצים עריכת פעולות… ומפעילים את ״תמלול עם Timlul״. אפשר גם להוסיף אותה למועדפים כדי שתופיע ראשונה.

הופיעה הודעה שצריך לפתוח את האפליקציה. בחלק מהמכשירים אין מספיק זיכרון פנוי לתמלול בתוך גיליון השיתוף. במקרה כזה משתפים שוב ובוחרים באייקון של Timlul בשורת האפליקציות, והתמלול ייעשה באפליקציה עצמה.

אילו קבצים נתמכים? הודעות קוליות, הקלטות ותזכורות קוליות בפורמטים m4a, mp3, wav, opus ו-ogg.

צריך אינטרנט? לא. כל התמלול נעשה על המכשיר, גם במצב טיסה.

כמה זמן זה לוקח? דקה של שמע מתומללת בדרך כלל בכמה שניות.

התמלול לא מדויק. הדיוק תלוי באיכות ההקלטה: רעשי רקע, כמה דוברים במקביל או דיבור רחוק מהמיקרופון פוגעים בו. נשמח לשמוע על מקרים חוזרים (בלי לשלוח את ההקלטה עצמה, אלא אם בחרת בכך).

איך מוחקים תמלול? ברשימת ההיסטוריה מחליקים על התמלול שמאלה ומוחקים. מחיקת האפליקציה מוחקת את כל התמלולים.

מי רואה את ההודעות שלי? אף אחד. השמע והתמלולים לא יוצאים מהמכשיר. לפרטים: מדיניות הפרטיות.
